Words Versus Actions (Part II — Line of Duty)

Last week I discussed my perspective that the military does better at stating they take care of their people versus actually taking care of their people. If you want the spin up you can read the article here.

I’ll be honest, this is not the most riveting information. So, why write this? Simple…it’s important to understand. When you hear people talking about the issues wounded warriors are having, it is the dry information you need to understand.

For my civilian friends, I am writing this in a way that I hope makes sense. I want you to understand where these programs both excel and miss their mark and the possible “why’s”. For my military friends, specifically the active duty, hopefully this gives you insight to the different challenges the guard and reserve face, and how the active duty side can help or hinder their situation.
